SiWA meets GAWA

Animationsfilme sind wie Gemälde, denen Leben eingehaucht wurde. Jedes einzelne Filmbild ist ein kleines Kunstwerk. Da das Genre des künstlerischen Animationskurzfilms den meisten Menschen noch nicht so bekannt ist, zeigt Stuttgart's Incredible World of Animation (SiWA) seit 2009 Einzelbilder aus Stuttgarter Animationsfilmproduktionen in Kinofoyers, Clubs und Kneipen in Stuttgart .

Doch auch in anderen Städten Deutschlands werden herausragende Animationsfilme produziert. 2011 kommen daher auch Animationsfilm-Bilder aus Hamburg, Kassel, Frankfurt, Augsburg und Berlin zur Ausstellung hinzu. Animated films, like paintings, have life breathed into them. Every single frame is a tiny work of art. As most people are still relatively unfamiliar with the genre of the artistic animated short film, Stuttgart's Incredible World of Animation (SiWA) exhibition, established in 2009, displays individual images from animated film productions created in Stuttgart in various cinema foyers, clubs and bars around the city.

But excellent animated films are being produced in other German cities too. This year's exhibition will include images from animated films from Hamburg, Kassel, Cologne, Frankfurt, Augsburg and Berlin.
